Independence Day

Every 16th of September Mexicans all over the world Celebrate their Independence Day remembering the historical Dolores Cry shouted out by Miguel Hidalgo also called The Father of the Country because of this. On this day you can see school parades , performances of the Founding Fathers and all of the mayors of Mexico, including the mayor of Puerto Vallarta, standing on their City Hall balconies and calling out the names of Mexico’s Founding Fathers, in honor of Dolores Hidalgo’s patriotic Independence Day in 1810.

The event culminates in a large parade, with plenty of beautifully decorated floats.
